The Performing Percussionist - Book One

The purpose of the Performing Percussionist series is to present the study of percussion instruments in a logical and musical manner. From the beginning, students should be encouraged to listen, think, and work on a consistent and even sound. Also from the beginning, students must concentrate on developing good "time sense" or "meter sense." These two areas - meter and sound - are stressed throughout the series.
